From Trifive

To all Trifive Members.

Fall is here and I am really getting excited about all the winter projects that will be getting started by our Trifive members.

Spring and summer is also an exciting time -- for attending Rod Runs, Classic Car Shows, and Cruises. I know spring and summer is a lot of fun for those Trifive owners who have their cars on the road, but for us guys who are still working on our projects, we still have to say to ourselves, "Just wait until next summer and my car will be ready, and it will be great."

Trifive.com is still growing rapidly, and I really appreciate the warm welcome our members give to all new members.  We are all restoring the best cars ever made -- 1955, 56 ,57 Chevys.

It amazes me that so many Trifives are still left.  They certainly are the most popular cars ever made, and to think that people have kept them for all these years. Think of all the stories they could tell.  When you have a bad day, just look at your Trifive and think of all the great memories that it has given to everyone for years.  It has to put a smile on your face.

I think the Trifive 1955, 1956, 1957 Chevy's story has yet to be told.  imagine 25, 50, 100 years or more from now when we have moved on to a better place.  Trifives that we are saving and restoring now will still be here creating dreams for generations to come and we will have played our part in this great legacy of creating and preserving great memories forever.

Please see our Trifive store for winter clothing.        TriFive Store

Thanks

We all watched in anticipation as one of our members pulled off what many of us thought was an impossible task. His goal was to build a 55 hardtop from  frame off to Drag Race in 30 days.  Here is the story of TriFive member Halfrod and his incredible build.

Letter From the Editor

Dear Members,

Winter is approaching fast and as the New Year is only weeks away, many of us are getting our project cars off the road and into the garage -- for some, one on one time.  Please post your projects on the forum as it always encourages the rest of us to get out butts off the couch and into the garage.  Take lots of pictures and let us see how your projects are coming along

I want to thank all the members who sent in the pictures of their 57 Chevys for the Red Hot 57 article.

I want to also thank the many members who sent their stories in for the Story Contest.  I enjoyed reading them all and hope to put a few of these great memories in future newsletters.

I want to apologize for the late publication of the fall Tire Tracks.  Many of you understand how work can cut into a guy's personal life.  This has been a very busy season for me.

Please let me know if you have suggestions on what you would like to see in future publications of Tire Tracks.

From all the Staff at TriFive.com we want to wish you a great holiday season and hope that you get some quality time with your family and friends.  Who know's?  Maybe Santa will bring you that new Carburetor.  -Editor

A special Holiday thank you goes out to our servicemen throughout the world.  We respect and appreciate what you are doing to allow us to live in one of the greatest countries in the world and pursue our love for this hobby.  God Bless you and keep you safe.

Happy Holidays!  boy on sled

This summer I had the opportunity to meet a couple of our members at the Cruis'n Grand event in beautiful Escondido, California.  It was a perfect evening with some new friends and some beautiful cars

Story and Pictures

Red Hot 57

I  met a guitar player in Houston, Texas many years ago playing in a local hang out.  I was very impressed by his music and his humbleness.

He gave me a CD that he made entirely by himself.  He wrote the music, played all the parts, sang. I lost track of him years ago.  If any of you know him, please contact him.  His name is Jimmy Jines and this song was written written for all of us -- " Red Hot 57".  Thanks to all those members who sent pictures to me for this tribute to the 57 Chevy.

Turn up your sound, click on the link, unzip the contents, click on the play icon. Have some patience -- it is a large file.

TriFive International

Welcome to our second international section  for Tire Tracks. It is always interesting and exciting to find out how many of our  beloved TriFives have ended up on foreign shores. Where man has traveled, he has taken his favorite classic Chevy with him.    The majority I have heard about  were purchased and shipped by owners wanting to share in the history and love that we all have for this American classic. TriFive.com has new members joining weekly from outside of the US with beautiful stock and hotrod TriFives. Enjoy the world tour.  I am looking forward learning more about our members from around the world.  Please submit anything you have to me. Story Contest Winner            " My First TriFive"

TriFive Member "Wrenchbend" submitted a great story in the last contest named "My First TriFive and Why I Chose it".

Please take time to read it, it will warm your heart and probably bring back memories of when you were little and saw these beautiful cars for the first time.

The interviews I have done in the past have been of members that are very active in supporting TriFive.com.   Many of you are aware of how hard Otis works for us all keeping this site updated and running so well.  He continues to add new features and keep everyone focused on making this forum a family friendly place we can all be proud of.  He has been dedicated to improving the quality and the operation of TriFive.com since he started it.  He didn't want to do this interview because in his humble opinion there are far better and more interesting people here to highlight than him.  I disagree, and felt it was time you all got to know him a little better, so --  my friend this one is for you -- one of the nicest people I have had the opportunity to get to know. Thanks for all you do, Otis. -Editor
